COVID for me was interesting and despite everyone having struggles with COVID, my story is more of a happy one because despite the fact that everyone was locked away and six feet apart in Zoom meetings and everything, I took a bit of comfort in knowing that it wasn’t just me, you know, everyone was going through this.
And, and so my story is, A bit more joyful because I took advantage of doing online school in a comfortable environment and waking up and doing work outside even and in spaces I enjoy and I definitely had more free time and I used this time to express myself creatively. I, I painted drawings, I did digital art, I made videos and, and it was, it was pretty good.
And me and my friends. Would hang out we had more time to hang out now once we realized that Covid wasn’t as much as a threat to our specific age range Um, we started commuting more and hanging out and it was a good point in life. Now. I remember the first week when covid struck it was A mix of fear and excitement.
Uh, you know, this, this sickness just comes. But, two weeks off of school. Uh, which expanded into months and then half a year, a year, I don’t remember how long it was. But then eventually, they started letting us back into school. And, that was kind of the, the downfall. That’s where things start to get sad.
Because, not only do we have to start waking up and going back to school, but also We had to wear masks, which was very restricting. Uh, it was very uncomfortable and made it hard to focus. And so it was hard to go anywhere actually with, without seeing a sign that said masks required. So we just kind of hung out until, uh, it all blew over, but I definitely evaluated my free time after that a lot more and realized how much more of an impact that made on my life.
And so I did truly take advantage of. COVID and, and found the optimism and I, I don’t wish that it wouldn’t have happened and I’m glad that it did happen.
