When I started college, it was during the pandemic. We had online classes and had to get tested for COVID three times a week. Two weeks in, my roommate and I both got COVID. We were sent to the isolation dorms with other students who also had COVID, but, Everyone was getting COVID during this time. So the isolation dorms were packed at first.
I was scared because I didn’t know what was going on or what to expect, but I ended up meeting a ton of friends in the dorms and made a bunch of great memories. It was a great way to start my college experience and because there was no adult supervision, because everyone in the dorms had COVID, it was just like a huge party and it was really just a great way to break the ice and meet new friends and really feel at home, in my new college town with people that I recognized.
