Okay, so I’m here to tell my COVID story. I guess my perspective is fairly benign, but definitely my initial impressions were that this is something to be very concerned about. And so I followed all the rules and it was really intense and the lockdowns happened. And the first thing that was interesting was how all the toilet paper was missing.
And I thought to myself okay, that’s fine. I have a bidet. I can work through this. And I remember I posted online. I’m like, Hey, I have a bidet. Everything’s going to be okay. And then I had a message from a friend who was in New York city and she was telling me How shit was hitting the fan there.
Everyone was freaking out and people were attacking each other on the subways. And so she wrote to me and said, Hey, I hear you have a bidet. You’re out in Colorado. Can I come hang out with you? I said, yeah, absolutely. So she got out a week before the major lockdowns. And next thing I know, I had a good friend hanging out with me and the lockdowns happened and
We were just hanging out. And then within my community, I realized that there’s a few people we would keep our social circles small, but we’d still hang out, still socialize. One thing I really liked was how society slowed down and nature crept back in. And I would hang out with my friends and we would just have really simple hangout sessions of playing music and singing and playing random games.
And for me, I guess I realized as time went on, I was like, okay this is okay. But then there was another part of me that goes, okay society might collapse. I should probably get. And so I started making new doomsday prep hobbies. For example, I got into fishing. And I also started learning how to shoot a slingshot.
I was looking around. I was like, wow, there’s a lot of rabbits around here. If food supply gets short, I should learn how to hunt these things. And so I started slingshotting anyways. As I was looking at everyone and their different reactions, I saw a lot of people freaking out and either, either it was the people who were, or who were lonesome or the people who thought it was government controlled power.
