Uncertainty is the first thing that comes to my mind when I think back to the beginning of COVID.
The fear was so strong you could feel it going to grocery store, getting the everyday items.
The toilet paper shortage. I had no idea that stuff was such hot commodity, but now I do and I’m ready.
We were lucky that our family was already set to work from home and we were able to do our part and stay away from people and heavily populated areas.
I think as a family we became closer as we were forced to spend more quality time together and to make up not seeing our friends out in the world, we joined weekly Zoom trivia group and spent a massive amount of time animal crossing with friends. Basically we moved our social habits online to feel the need of being social.
We were lucky to dodge COVID until the dreaded Omnicron variety came along and we all got it and it was terrible. My cough didn’t go away for three months and the weakness, well you know it, wasn’t fun.
And to this day I think how much worse it could have been if I hadn’t had my boosters done.
